On Wednesday June 17, 2017, 10 incredible volunteers from the Bank of Montreal (BMO) spent their morning at our SNAP headquarters. They tackled two very important projects: painting our former classroom and refreshing our youth kitchen. Both of these areas are important spaces for clients and staff.
While our School Treatment Program is no longer housed in the building, the space is used as a lunch room for Camp Wimodausis in the summer and clinical programming (homework club, activity group, etc.), in addition to meeting and touchdown space for staff during the rest of the year. The youth kitchen is a dedicated space for the SNAP Youth Leadership programs in the evenings.
Having been well used for many years, we wanted to give both spaces a “refresh.” Our former classroom space is now looking fresh, bright and welcoming while the youth kitchen is clean and organized.
Staff and clients are so appreciative of the volunteers and BMO for helping to improve our space!
