A family resource program providing informal learning opportunities and social networks to parents and caregivers of young children. Parent-child drop-in where children can "learn through play" and develop social, cognitive, and language skills necessary for healthy development. Access to other community resources, information and referral.
Launched by June Callwood and David Hall (former Dufferin Mall manager), Dufferin Mall Family Place has been welcoming families of young children for over 10 years. Come and join us for fun play time, learning and sharing with your child and other children. Our staff can provide information on child development, parenting concerns, and child and family health.
We are located on the lower level near Abrigo. Enter the mall at the HRDC/Service Canada entrance or walk down the stairs or take the elevator near Dollarama.
Dufferin Mall Family Place is open from Tuesday to Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
This is an inter-agency program operated in partnership with other community and child development agencies.
