Here to Help

A group intervention program for women and children (aged 4-16 years) who have experienced domestic violence.  The groups provide a safe and supportive environment, with concurrent children’s and mothers’ groups.  Groups run three times per year, with twelve sessions in each group.  Groups are offered in English and Spanish.

The program addresses issues such as safety, dealing with emotions, and parenting after violence. Women and children learn that they are not alone and begin to heal from the negative effects of family violence through the support of program staff and other participants. The program is also intended to stop the cycle of violence from repeating when these children become adults.
