Central Agencies Sexual Abuse Treatment CASAT

Child Development Institute is pleased to be the sponsor for the activities and services of Central Agencies Sexual Abuse Treatment (CASAT). Established in 1990, CASAT is a coalition of approximately 40 Toronto agencies whose mission is to promote recovery from child sexual abuse and other forms of trauma. CASAT works to provide, connect with and support services for children, youth and families affected by sexual abuse. CASAT serves children and youth age 0-18 and their families.

CASAT works in partnership with parents and youth to connect people with treatment services. We also provide links to services for offenders, and offer specialized treatment groups when funding allows and needs demand. CASAT works to ensure that all of our services are responsive to the diverse needs of individuals affected by sexual abuse and that these services are based in research and established best practices.

 CASAT offers:

  • Coordinated support and referral to treatment services for child and youth victims of sexual abuse and trauma. We offer delivery of service through member agencies. Services include trauma assessments and treatment, group services, and coordination of service.
  • Clinical consultation
  • Professional training
