Intensive Resource Support in Child Care

Community Child Workers work directly with child care staff to build their capacity to include children with complex and/or significant social, emotional or behavioural needs in childcare by modeling and coaching child care staff to develop their skills to work with specific children with more intensive needs; working in partnership with Resource Consultants, child care staff and parents to develop a support plan; and supporting the implementation of individual program plans, including adaptations and teaching strategies

This service can be offered for up to 18 sessions and is to be used within a three month period. Referrals for this service are made by the Resource Consultant, in collaboration with the childcare centre and parents.
