It was AWESOME!

On Thursday, April 14 the Evergreen Brick Works was transformed into a kaleidoscope of colour, music, intriguing performers, specialty drinks and scrumptious food for An Evening of Awesome, Child Development Institute’s annual fundraising event for our child and family  services.

A Night of Intrigue and Fantasy

Over 400 guests enjoyed a feast of incredible organic and local foods by celebrity chef Brad Long, Iceberg Vodka “awesometini’s” created by Toronto’s top mixologist Oliver Stern, and some of the finest wines and bubbly from Barefoot Wines.

While sipping their awesome drinks, guests were treated to incredible aerialists, fire entertainers, illusionists and stilt walkers. A living statue at the silent auction awed guests as the bidding wars ensued for the night with packages that  included a pearl and bead necklace, five day Florida vacation, Alice In Wonderland Ballet day, a fitness fantasy and other once in a life time packages.

Success for Children and their Families

At the end of the evening, event co-chairs Carmen Ford and Jennifer Martin-Kepes announced that the evening had raised  a quarter- million dollars.

Thanks to everyone who  helped to make this, An Evening of Awesome, a brilliant success!
